Addiction

The saying is "one is too many, and 1,000 is never enough". The problem is that once you are in your addiction mode it seems like it is already too late to stop. You've already blown it. You just want to get that same feeling you use to have when you got high, then you can stop tomorrow. But tomorrow the story is the same. Then you reach a point where the only way you can function at all is to get high. You no longer feel high, but you have to use to feel normal. There is help though, through surrendering to your higher power. Unfortunately most of us seem to have to go through a lot of stuff before we reach that point. We want to take care of everything ourselves. We don't believe there is another way. We don't realize that the only way to have control is to surrender completely.
